In shortcode, Simply Instagram support 3 display options:

The shortcode used:

    Can I use this widget for the footer and if so, how can I make the images display horizontally or stacked like in your simply instagram page?

      If your theme supports widget in footer, you can use this plugin on it. You can make images display horizontally by customizing the CSS.

        How stressful, MaryLea! The site looks great as alwyas and I’m sure I echo the sentiments of your other followers when I say that we welcome any changes you make. Speaking of blog design, I really need to refresh my site too. Someday. Not today, though. 🙂

    How can I show just MY PHOTOS in my feed. I’m still searching for this answer, so I imagine I’ll find it before you answer, but I would think this is the primary way people want to use the plugin, so I wonder why that info isn’t smacking me right in the face ;=)

    • July 2, 2013

      Hello Steve,

      Bit late reply but in case you’re still looking a way for it, you can use either through Shortcode( like mine above, those are my photos ), go to Settings->Simply Instagram and choose User endpoints and Recent Media type OR go to Appearance->Widgets and use Simply Instagram: Recent Media for sidebar application.

      Thanks!

    Hello! I’ve installed this plugin and authorized it via the instagram account, but the “Simply Instagram has not been setup correctly. Kindly authorize Simply Instagram.” message still appears at the top.

    If I log into Instagram, it shows that Simply Instagram has access.

    I’ve revoked access, reinstalled the plugin, and gone through the process a few times, and will also be lead to a “Not Found” page here:
    http://www.rollybueno.info/plugins/&access_token=
    184552100.39170cd.274b6161ceae4a4c844d46ca5bc53d1b&id=184552100

    Any suggestions on how to remedy this or what I may be doing wrong?

    thank you!

      Hello Sarah,

      One of the thread in Support forum at wordpress has the same problem like yours. If you’re using this plugin in development site, please use host header method. The problem may be on redirecting to original site( might be not found because the website is not yet published ) after authorizing in Instagram.

      Thanks!

      Hello Brian,

      Please use Simply Instagram: My Latest Photo widget. If you’re using version 1.2.4, you can use Simply Instagram: Latest Feed.

      Thanks

    Thanks so much for creating this plugin. I cannot get the slideshow feature on the widget to work – there are no javascript errors so I can’t figure out what the problem is. the test site is http://ks.3crowncreative.com/ (instagram photos on left hand side ). Thanks so much for your help

      Hi there,

      Simply Instagram works normally in your website. What browser did you use when you found this issue?

      Thanks

      • Carol
        September 4, 2013

        I’ve looked at it on firefox and safari (mac). The images on the left are stacked one atop of another, instead of in a slideshow.

        • September 6, 2013

          Hello Carol,

          The slideshow works when you click on the images. If you like to make those photos in grid manner, you change the size.

          Thanks

    Hello Mr. Bueno,

    I saw mention of impending pagination feature coming soon. Is this true?!

    TIA

    Flash

    • September 6, 2013

      Hello there,

      The pagination feature will be included on next version however, this function only applicable when using shortcode. Basically it will be “Load more” button at the bottom of page.

      Thanks

    Hello,

    Is there a way to remove the drop shadow on the images?

    Thanks.

    • September 13, 2013

      Hi Kristen,

      Add this code on CSS Settings box:

      .front-photo{
      -webkit-box-shadow: none !important;
      -moz-box-shadow: none !important;
      box-shadow: none !important;
      }
      .masonryItem{
      -webkit-box-shadow: none !important;
      -moz-box-shadow: none !important;
      box-shadow: none !important;
      }

      Hope this helps!

      Cheers!

    When any page containing this plug-in loads, the images all slide into place from the top left corner of the container. Is there a way to turn this off? I’d like them to simply load where they would otherwise end up after the animation.

    Thanks!

  12. October 5, 2013

    That worked, thank you!!

    Have you made the updates yet for the images to open up in Instagram. I know you said you have been working on that. I noticed the option in the settings but when I set it to ‘open in Instagram’ it still opens in pretty photo.

    Thank you!

    • January 17, 2014

      Hi Jamie,

      Did you install this plugin in localhost instead of live website? I’d like to know as the cause of this issue is actually localhost installations. I’m not sure yet why that happen but Instagram API probably rejects them.

      Thanks!

    Great plugin, but i have some questions. Is possible to personalize the thumbnail size? and if it’s possible that the widget show the thumbnail in two columns?

    Thanks in advance

    • January 17, 2014

      Hi Joel,

      If you are using widget, there’s a Picture Size option that resize the thumbnail to the given value. You can format the widget column using css.

      Thanks

    I have tried every single combination with the settings and this plugin. I’m logged in and it always brings up random photos from other people instead of my own feed. I’m clueless as to what I’m doing wrong and based on the comments above – so are some other people. It would be useful if you showed the shortcodes in combination/description of how the feed appears so that we could understand better.

    • January 17, 2014

      Hi Deanna,

      Please refer sample below:

      Display recent feeds on your account. This includes photos form people you’re following.
      [simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”self-feed” size=”standard_resolution” display=”20″]

      Retrieve photos with highest love on Instagram and display randomly.
      [simply_instagram endpoints=”media” type=”popular” size=”standard_resolution” display=”15″]

      Display your latest uploaded photos.
      [simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”recent-media” size=”standard_resolution” display=”10″]

      Thanks!

    February 8, 2014

    Hi,
    I would like to know how I can display more than 20 pictures?
    Also, I have used CSS to remove the white background and padding etc so that each image has no border (my page is black) but now the grid does not fit my page, can you advise how to make the grid fit or to centre the whole grid?
    Thanks,

    Ryan

    Hi,

    I’m using the plugin, it works fine, except for the images size. whatever I use in the shortcode (thumbnail, low, standard) all images show as thumbnails 150×150. I even copied/pasted your shortcodes samples from the readme.txt file, and it still thumbnails 🙁
    Any idea what is the issue here ?
    Thanks !

  26. August 7, 2014

    Hello,

    This is a really good plugin! I am having one issue though on a site I recently launched. It seems to be happening primarily in Chrome. When a page loads, the main body content is getting some lines and not rendering properly, and it appears to be due to the IG feed loading in the sidebar. When I deactivate the plugin, the pages render properly. Take a look at this page in Chrome. Try scrolling as the page is loading and see if you notice the lines in the content. http://crescentkayaks.com/our-story/

    Any help in fixing this is apprecitated!!

    Hi. I like using your plugin – it’s been working great for me as a widget. However, I am now using the short code and have an issue/question. I want to disable the masonry layout and can’t find an option for that. I just want the feed to appear as 6 images and open in a new tab in instagram. How can i just have plain images and links. I will do the the css/js stuff myself. Thanks

    • September 7, 2015

      Hi kat,

      Depending on what version you are using, disable the code:

      jQuery(‘#masonryContainer’).imagesLoaded(function(){jQuery(‘#masonryContainer’).masonry({itemSelector : ‘.masonryItem’,isAnimated: true});});

      You can find it around Line 358 Column 150 in updated version( 1.2.7 )

      Thanks

        [simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”recent-media” size=”standard_resolution” presentation=”masonry” display=”20″ displayoption=”instagram” width=”305px” showphotographer=”false” photocomment=”1″ stat=”false” photocaption=”false” displaycomment=”false”]

          Hello JAIR,

          There’s no output on that page right now. Can you do the following:

          1.) Enable Cache
          2.) On the About/Debug tab, please tell me the API response and the content along with it.

          The masonry is using 150px by 150px only.

          Thanks

          • October 7, 2015

            Hi Rolly thanks for your help again , and this enabled the account, but still they look bad resolutions, This is the shorcode que estoy utilizando.

            [simply_instagram endpoints=”users” type=”recent-media” size=”standard_resolution” presentation=”masonry” display=”20″ displayoption=”instagram” width=”305px” showphotographer=”false” photocomment=”1″ stat=”false” photocaption=”false” displaycomment=”false”]

          • October 8, 2015

            Hi JAIR,

            I see that you are using Masonry->Instagram->Standard Resolution there but the image is still using thumbnail. I consider this a bug and will update within this day. I’ll notify you after I’ve done that. Thank You!

    • October 2, 2015

      Hello JAIR,

      I don’t understand on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are using shortcode,
      You can set the size to “Standard Resolution” on Shortcode tab in admin.

      Can you give me your site link?

      Thanks

    Hey there

    I am trying to use this plugin for my website, I want the images to show up as a horizontal row. I am familiar with editing CSS, I am looking at the file sb-instagram.css as we speak. Can you give me a heads up what value I should be changing. I made a few changes to display: table-row, but that just wiped out the plugin

    thanks in advance!
